The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn

 Paramount Pictures – 2011

Director: Steven Spielberg

Visual Effects company: Weta Digital Ltd.

Job Title: Senior Lighting Technical Director

I was working almost a year on this show with shorter and longer breaks, overall it was a fun ride and I am really pleased with the end result: a full action packed adventure movie, something the Indiana Jones 4 should have been :) , but of course no-one told it to Mr. Spielberg face to face.

Lets see what shots I was working on. It is not out on DVD yet, so this is just a small selection of the shots already published around the internet or been seen in one of the movie teasers / trailers.

I was responsible for the lighting and rendering of this shot.

You might have seen this shot all over the internet, It was one of the most widely used production still of the movie. Not sure of the reason though, but I have found it on a handful of portals, such as here and here (hun). Same deal as before, I was responsible for the lighting and rendering of this shot.

I will publish some more as soon as the DVD is out. Until then, go and see the movie in the movie theatres, it has got some really great reviews, and 87% on Rottentomatoes.
